Coliseum has tied up with Bundesliga DFL for organizing a half-day workshop on Stadium Infrastructure on March 28, 2017 in Budapest. The workshop will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott City Center Hotel.

The workshop has been designed particularly to address the specific requirements of the Hungarian football clubs and sports organisation.

As there are just 40 spots available for the workshop, participation will be offered to registered delegates on first come first serve basis. Registration fee is EUR 250 per candidate. Click here to buy your ticket.

The organisation and marketing of professional football in Germany are the core functions of the DFL. The Bundesliga is a professional association football league in Germany and the football league with the highest average stadium attendance worldwide. At the top of the German football league system, the Bundesliga is Germany’s primary football competition.

The following three topics will comprise the agenda of the workshop:

  • Stadium and Safety Management Developments
The session will see German Football League’s Head of Stadium Infrastructure and Stadium Security Birger Nass making a presentation on the infrastructural, organizational and normative developments of stadium and safety management in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2.

Over the last 15 years the DFL and the clubs realized a multiplicity of initiatives to improve the quality and comfort for the fans at a Bundesliga match. Since the season 2003-04, the Bundesliga is No. 1 football league in the world vis-à-vis the average attendance in the stadium. Birger, through his deep insight, help us understand the well planned and structured process of the past and will share some ideas of the future.

  • Example from a club: Match day organization in the venue
It all comes down the match day eventually. Sports as a celebration gets its true exposure on the day itself. The players, organizers, officials and fans have all geared up for this day.

The management at the stadium is key to make or break the event. A Bundesliga Club expert will focus on the last minute organization that goes on the match day in every stadium.

  • Football specific requirements on the infrastructure / Pitch and Sport Areas
German Football League’s Senior Manager Stadium Infrastructure Joachim Baur will address this session.
The adage “On the pitch is where it realy counts” (by 1950s’ Borussia Dortmund star forward Alfred ‘Adi’ Preissler) has come to enjoy cult status in German football. And indeed, the pitch area remains the key feature of a football stadium for players, substitutes, coaches, team staff, referees and crowds all across the country.

Baur’s presentation will focus on how a good pitch, with a high-quality playing surface offering perfect conditions, is of prime importance for the kind of first-class competition the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 stand for. The session will highlight the efforts of the DFL and the clubs in offering high-quality natural grass pitches all over the season.

In addition, Bundesliga’s journey as a professional league organization will offer insights into strengthening the brand of sports association and will be beneficial for the participants. Click here to buy your ticket.
