A senior sports and entertainment executive, with extensive experience in stakeholder management and the design, development, operation and commercialisation of Stadia, Arenas and Convention facilities.
Parallel experience in bidding, procuring, planning and delivering major events.
From August 2009 to October 2014, an executive Board Director for Wembley National Stadium and specifically responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships; procuring the event content for the annual Stadium calendar; Lead Executive Director for the successful bid team on 2 UEFA Champions League Finals and the Euro 2020 Finals package; developing and launching the undergraduate university campus, UCFB Wembley (www.ucfb.com).
Latterly, launched and developed Wembley Stadium Consultancy and led a team providing Stadium design and operations advice in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Russia, India, Kuwait, Japan and the UK.
A former international athlete who represented Scotland in Track and Cross Country, with a background in Banking and Sports Administration.
A total of 27 years operational and commercial experience on the Wembley Estate, covering the planning and management of over 4000 live events within the old and new Wembley Stadium, Wembley Arena and the Wembley Conference and Exhibition facilities.
Designed, project managed, commissioned and operated the temporary 10,000 seat Wembley Arena Pavilion in 2005-2006, and held estate wide management responsibility from 2002 to 2007.
15 years as a member of the event day London Marathon management team.
A member of the initial project design team for the New Wembley National Stadium and actively involved throughout the demolition and construction phase as the key interface contact for the surrounding estate land.
Previous management responsibilities across the Wembley venues – Event Management, Ticketing, Merchandising, Sales, Marketing and Facilities.
Having left Wembley Stadium in October 2014, I am now providing consultancy advice in all areas of Sports and Entertainment, particularly multi stakeholder environments, the design, mobilisation, operation and commercialisation of venues, strategic venue development advice, event creation, planning and delivery.
Currently setting up the Company responsible for the London Olympic Stadium, assisting the operator mobilise for a temporary opening this summer to host the Diamond League Athletics and 5 Rugby World Cup games, and managing the naming rights partner process.
