Steven Wilbrenninck - Product Manager Stadiums

BAM International

Steven Wilbrenninck

Steven Wilbrenninck has been working for the BAM International for about 28 years. As the group solidified its position in stadium construction, he became the head of a specialist stadium product group.

For the past two decades, Steven has supervised spectacular stadium projects all over the world, such as the Dutch Gelredome in Arnhem, the stadium of Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen and the O2 World Arena in Berlin.

In 2006, he was sent to South Africa, which was inviting tenders for five new stadiums to host the 2010 World Football Cup. This led to two prestigious projects: Soccer City in Johannesburg and Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

After the 2010 World Cup, more stadiums followed in the shape pf Leeds Arena (UK), Arena Copenhagen (Denmark), Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Al Wakrah Stadium (Qatar).

Steven believes that sustainability is no longer just a fashion word but makes up an integral part of every stadium project.
