The Organizing Committee for the 2030 Winter Olympics in the Alps (France) presented a first draft of the map of the Olympic and Paralympic competition venues on June 29th, 2026.

‘cnosf.franceolympique.com’ stated that the above key step in the preparation for the Winter Games is part of a collective effort involving the sports movement, the host regions and the athletes.

The 2030 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXVI Olympic Winter Games 2030, and branded as Alpes 2030, is an upcoming international winter multisport event scheduled to take place from February 1st-17th, 2030 in the French Alps region.

The 2030 Winter Paralympic Games, officially known as the Alpes 2030 Paralympic Winter Games, is the 15th international winter multisport parasports event scheduled to take place across the French Alps from March 1st-10th, 2030.

New Step Forward

‘cnosf.franceolympique.com’ further stated that unveiled at the end of the Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (COJOP) Board meeting this map marks a new step forward in the preparation for the 2030 Winter Games . It specifies the main organizational guidelines of the project and offers a first glimpse of the distribution of the sites that will host the Olympic and Paralympic events.

Games Rooted in Alpine Regions

Developed in collaboration with all the stakeholders this initial map aims to create a compact organization designed to enhance the experience for everyone involved in the Games: The athletes, the teams, the media, the partners, the spectators, and the host regions. It also reflects the ambition of the Alps 2030: To build sustainable, responsible Games that are deeply rooted in the Alpine region, leveraging the existing infrastructure and the local expertise as much as possible. Discussions are now continuing with the International Federations to finalize the allocation of disciplines to the various venues.

Allocation of Disciplines

In the coming weeks, the Organizing Committee for the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games (COJOP) will continue its work to finalize the organization of the competitions and the allocation of disciplines to the selected venues. This new phase should allow for the gradual consolidation of the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games project with the ambition of offering an event that is sustainable, ambitious and true to the Alpine region.
