Andrea Butti has been serving in the role of Head of Competitions and Operations, Lega Serie A, Italy, since August 2019 – the top of the Italian football league system. In his present role, he is responsible for organizational and regulation matters pertaining to the competition. He is also actively associated with the 2026 Winter Olympics to be held in the Italian Cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo as the main Host Cities.

Butti boasts several accomplishments to his career graph – he was appointed Project Leaders of the Italian Super Cup held in Saudi Arabia in December 2019, the Coppa Italia Finals held in Rome in 2020 and at Reggio Emilia in 2021. He also holds key posts at the European Leagues Organization (a sports organization within association football created for growth of professional football in Europe) and at the World Leagues Forum (an organization representing professional association football leagues).

Armed with a degree in journalism, he also served a stint with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) as the Media Officer during EURO 2008.
