Since more than 4 years, Claudio Cailá Müller is holding the role of Head of FIFA World Cup Project in Zürich, Switzerland and was key to the successful staging of last year’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

Being a former 3rd division football player, Claudio dedicated his work and passion to this sport. After his studies of Sports & Economics at the University of Bayreuth, he started working at Deutsche-Städte-Medien GmbH, in charge of selling advertising boards for football clubs of the 1^st and 2^nd Bundesliga, before he became Head of Marketing at VfL Bochum. Since more than 14 years, Cailá Müller is working for the football governing bodies UEFA and FIFA.

In his 10 years at UEFA, Claudio formed part of the leading functions to organize the EUROs 2008, 2012 and 2016 but also became Project Lead of Champions League Finals (Wembley and Lisbon 2013 and 2014) and the Europa League Final in Warsaw in 2015 before he moved to FIFA shortly before the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018.
