Romain Giraud is the Director of Infrastructure and Facilities of the French professional football club Olympique de Marseille home ground – the Orange Vélodrome Stadium in Marseille, France – since August 2024.
In his present role, he is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for the renovation, expansion and modernization of the club infrastructure as well as managing and coordinating the organization of matches held at the Orange Vélodrome Stadium and also looking into the security and stadium management aspects.
His earlier stints include working as the Large Public Infrastructures and Grand Events Director of the Ville de Marseille from August 2021 to July 2024 and the General Secretary of Operations Management of the French professional association football club Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace, a position he held from August 2012 to June 2021.
Giraud has done his Master 2 Sports Law from the Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille’s University in France.
