The Serie A team Hellas Verona FC has announced that it has selected Gensler, one of the world’s leading architecture and design firms, for the design of the club’s new, state-of-the-art stadium in the area currently occupied by their present home – the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy.
‘hellasverona.it’ stated that Gensler’s appointment follows the submission of the new stadium project feasibility study to the Municipality of Verona in November 2025.
The Hellas Verona Football Club, commonly referred to as simply Hellas Verona, is an Italian professional football club based in Verona, Veneto (Italy) that currently plays in the Serie A, the highest division of the Italian football league system.
The 39,211-seat Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium is a stadium in Verona, Italy. It serves as the residence of the Hellas Verona FC.

‘hellasverona.it’ further stated that as the new stadium project progresses the Hellas Verona FC will actively engage with the fans, the local residents and the businesses through focus groups and surveys so that the voices of the Verona community can help inform the stadium’s development. While the club continues to view the Union of European Football Association (UEFA) EURO 2032 as an exciting opportunity for the city of Verona the new stadium project is not contingent on the tournament.
