The NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars have released renderings highlighting the new look EverBank Stadium entrances and renovated clubs and lounges, as well as a detailed look at the bowl itself.
Sports Business Journal said the team released the new images showing detailed looks at the new fan experiences they are looking to bring to their Stadium of the Future.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida (US).
The Jaguars compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the American Football Conference South Division. The team plays its home games at the 67,838-capacity EverBank Stadium.
The Jaguars’ Stadium of the Future is a $1.4 billion renovation of the EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville designed to be a state-of-the-art, year-round sports and entertainment venue.
The key features include a transparent, climate-controlled canopy, expanded capacity up to 71,500 and various technology upgrades.
The project aims to transform the existing stadium into a modern facility with completion expected for the 2028 season.
The upper bowl of EverBank Stadium has been closed off due to construction, so the Jaguars will play their six home games there this season with a lower-bowl capacity of 42,500 seats.
Current construction work is focused on removing the upper deck and installing heavy steel roof trusses.
Crews have taken out all seats from the upper deck to prepare for the new roof.
Workers are installing 100 steel support pieces for a large, transparent canopy roof.
Several towering construction cranes are active around the outside of the venue. Stadium lights are temporarily moved to the upper section, and concourses are being widened.
The Jaguars will play the 2027-28 season at Camping World Stadium in Orlando before the Stadium of the Future opens ahead of the 2028-29 season.
Jaguars President Mark Lamping recently noted that milestones “have been met recently, but there are many more to come”
