Mattioli Woods, a leading wealth management and employee benefits firm of United Kingdom (UK), recently announced that it has renewed its long-standing partnership with the professional rugby union club – the Leicester Tigers – for the 2026-2027 seasons thus reinforcing one of the most recognizable commercial relationships in English rugby while launching an ambitious digital-first activation strategy designed to extend the partnership’s reach far beyond the matchdays.
Renewed Agreement
‘Mattioli Woods’ stated that the renewed agreement sees Mattioli Woods retain the naming rights to the Leicester Tigers home ground – the Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium in Leicester, England (UK) – and the Mattioli Woods Stand alongside the Official Club Partner status and an extensive package of commercial, hospitality and content rights.
Leicester (UK)-based Mattioli Woods is a British wealth management and employee benefit services company with multiple offices throughout the United Kingdom.
The Leicester Tigers are a professional rugby union club based in Leicester, England (UK). They play in PREM Rugby, England’s top division of rugby.
The 25,849-seat Welford Road Stadium (currently known as the Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium for sponsorship reasons) is a rugby union stadium in Leicester, England (UK) and is the home ground of the Leicester Tigers.
Year-round Engagement
‘Mattioli Woods’ further stated that building on the strength of the existing relationship the partnership will now place greater emphasis on the year-round engagement through the original digital content, the supporter experiences, the educational initiatives, and the business events. By combining Leicester Tigers’ digital platforms with Mattioli Woods’ own channels the program is designed to reach the rugby supporters and the wider audiences across the United Kingdom.
Shared Commitment
The season-long activation program will include the exclusive player-led content, the financial wellbeing campaigns, the supporter competitions, the educational Webinars, the business networking events, and the planning sessions for the academy players and their families thus reinforcing the shared commitment of both the organizations to developing performance on and off the pitch.
‘Meaningful Experiences’
Put in Peter Mann, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mattioli Woods, “Our partnership with the Leicester Tigers has always represented far more than brand visibility. It reflects shared values of ambition, teamwork, performance, and the long-term success. As Mattioli Woods continues to grow as a national business this renewal gives us the opportunity to evolve the partnership beyond traditional sponsorship. By combining the iconic assets such as the Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium with a much stronger digital activation strategy we’ll be able to engage the supporters, the clients and communities throughout the year while extending the reach of the Mattioli Woods brand across the United Kingdom.
We’re excited to build on an already successful relationship and create meaningful experiences that deliver value for the supporters, the colleagues, the clients, and the wider business.”
Positive Community Impact
Added Andrea Pinchen, Head Honcho, Leicester Tigers, “We’re delighted that Mattioli Woods will remain as an Official Partner for the coming season. They are a business that shares our commitment to excellence, ambition and making a positive impact within the community. Their support extends beyond the partnership itself with a shared belief in the importance of supporting our local community and creating opportunities for the people to thrive. We look forward to building on this successful relationship and working closely with the Mattioli Woods team throughout the season and beyond.”
Extensive Branding
Alongside extensive branding throughout the stadium the agreement includes the supporter activations, hospitality across men’s and women’s fixtures, the business events and opportunities to engage with the Leicester Tigers’ wider community throughout the season.
Colleague Engagement
The partnership will also continue to play an important role in colleague engagement and client relationship management with hospitality and ticket allocations supporting the client events, the professional introducer engagement, colleague recognition, and regional business development across the United Kingdom.
The above renewal follows the successful integration of the Kingswood Group into the Mattioli Woods brand following the companies’ merger in October 2025. The combined business now oversees £32 billion of assets under management, administration and advice thus serving more than 30,000 clients through a national network of more than 200 financial advisers across 40+ UK offices.
Digital Content
By combining the premium sponsorship rights with an expanded program of digital content and engagement the renewed partnership positions the Leicester Tigers as a year-round platform for building awareness, strengthening trust and supporting the continued growth of the Mattioli Woods brand.
