The LaLiga team Atlético de Madrid and the Live Nation España, the Spanish subsidiary of the world’s largest music event promoter and organizer Live Nation, have signed an agreement of long-term strategic collaboration for the hosting of live concerts and events at the top-flight’s home ground – the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Spain – and the other spaces at the Ciudad del Deporte.

‘en.atleticodemadrid.com’ stated that the deal, which has an initial duration of 10 years with an option to extend, will consolidate the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium’s position as one of the leading concert spaces in Europe and as the preferred venue in Spain to host the world’s biggest artistes and shows.

The 70,692-seat Metropolitano Stadium, also referred to as the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in Madrid (Spain) located in the Rosas neighborhood in the San Blas-Canillejas District. It has been the home stadium of the Atlético de Madrid since 2017.

‘en.atleticodemadrid.com’ further stated that the above partnership will cement the Riyadh Air Metropolitano’s place as one of Europe’s premier concert venues and will allow for ticket purchases to all events directly through the stadium’s Website.
Entertainment Ecosystems
The above partnership is born from the pre-established connections between the two entities: Live Nation España has also partnered with the Atlético de Madrid and the Oak View Group (OVG) in Barsento, the joint venture to construct a 20,000-capacity covered music arena next to the ‘Los Rojiblancos’ Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium that is set to open in late 2030. Together, the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium and this new facility will form one of the most complete and powerful entertainment ecosystems in Europe.
The Oak View Group, LLC (OVG) is an American professional sport, venue management, hospitality, sponsorships, booking, and commercial real estate company based in Denver.
The Barsento SL is a joint venture company formed by the Spanish football club Atlético de Madrid (through its subsidiary Parque Metropolitano), the entertainment giant Live Nation and the venue developer Oak View Group (OVG).
