Interest in LA28 Olympic Games tickets has been huge with 4 million selling in the initial drop, organisers said.

LA28 said the high number of sales reflected global excitement for the Games and achieved an historic benchmark more than two years before Games time.

Building on that momentum, including an unprecedented locals presale that put hundreds of thousands of $28 tickets into the hands of Los Angeles and Oklahoma City area residents, registration is now underway for the next LA28 Ticket Draw this summer.

Drop 2 of LA28 Olympic Games tickets opens in August 2026, giving fans who did not register, were not selected in the first on-sale phase, or did not purchase their Olympic ticket maximums, another chance to secure their place at the most anticipated Games in a generation.

Drop 2 of the LA 28 Ticket Draw will include refreshed inventory across all Olympic sports at a range of price points.

LA28 Chief Executive Officer Reynold Hoover said, “The response to our initial on-sale was nothing short of historic. Fans from near and far have spoken: the world wants to be part of the LA28 Games,”

“The success of Drop 1 is about more than momentum — it reflects LA28‘s commitment to delivering a fiscally responsible Games that create a lasting legacy for Los Angeles and its communities.”

The organising committee said that:

The 2028 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXXIV Olympiad and commonly known as Los Angeles 2028 or LA 28, is an upcoming international multisport event scheduled to take place from July 14th-30th, 2028 in the United States.

Los Angeles will be the Host City with various events also scheduled to be held at other Cities spread across the Greater Los Angeles area plus two subsites in Oklahoma City.

LA28 will bring the Olympic and Paralympic Games to Los Angeles in 2028, uniting more than 15,000 of the world’s greatest athletes in a celebration of sport, culture and human potential.

Set against a diverse collection of venues only Southern California can deliver, from the Pacific Ocean to Hollywood stages to world-class arenas, Los Angeles will become the third city ever to host three Olympic Games, following 1932 and 1984, and will also host its first ever Paralympic Games.

Through July 22, fans around the world can register for the LA28 Olympic Games tickets draw.

Fans randomly selected for time slots will receive notification emails with specific details regarding date, time and duration of their time slot for Drop 2 via the email address used to register.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase up to 12 total tickets for Olympic events, and up to 12 Football (Soccer) Tournament tickets that do not count toward the general 12-ticket maximum for Olympic events.

There is a 4-ticket-per-Ceremony limit, which counts toward the general 12-ticket maximum for Olympic events.

Each purchaser’s maximum Olympic ticket allowance is cumulative across all LA28 presales and ticket drops.

Fans interested in premium Olympic Hospitality packages can purchase directly through On Location, LA28‘s Official Hospitality Provider.
