Austrian football club Red Bull Salzburg is partnering with the Red Cross to host a unique blood donation drive in the players changing room at Red Bull Arena on June 12.
The Red Bull Arena blood donation drive is an opportunity for fans to save lives and get a behind-the-scenes look at the club at the same time.
Red Bull Salzburg said guides will be at the stadium to assist donors and give them a brief glimpse behind the scenes of the Red Bull Arena while they wait.
After donating, participants will enjoy a free drink from The ORGANICS by Red Bull range and a free ticket to a home match next season.
Why is blood donation so important?
A unit of blood can only be stored for a maximum of 42 days, so the demand is constantly high.
Whether in cases of accidents, surgeries, serious illnesses, or childbirth, human blood is one of the most important medications in emergencies and cannot be substituted.
At the Red Bull Arena blood donation drive there will also be an information booth about stem cell donation where visitors can learn more and register as a potential donor.

When, where and how?
The Red Bull Arena blood donation drive will take place from 15:00 to 19:00 CEST on June 12 and with no prior registration necessary, potential donors are being invited to just turn up with a valid photo ID.
The entrance to the blood donation event is located at the VIP entrance of the Red Bull Arena. Parking is available in P-West car park directly in front of it.
After donating, every donor will receive their personal blood test results and a blood donor card with their blood type and Rh factor by mail approximately three to six weeks later.
Only sterile, single-use materials are used for each blood draw, therefore eliminating any risk of infection.
