The NFL’s Tennessee Titans have picked wireless technology innovators ANDREW® Digital DAS to support the new Nissan Stadium’s wireless network infrastructure.

Nissan Stadium said that the ANDREW ERA® distributed antenna system (DAS) will support the stadium’s wireless network, supporting everything from fan-facing services to day-to-day stadium operations.

Andrew McIntyre, Senior Vice President of Technology & Innovation for the Tennessee Titans and Nissan Stadium said, “The new Nissan Stadium is being designed with excellent fan and operational experiences at its core.

“Partnering with ANDREW will help us deliver the fast, consistent connectivity that powers immersive fan engagement, mobile-first services, and the next generation of in-venue experiences.”

The new Nissan Stadium is an indoor multipurpose stadium under construction in Nashville, Tennessee (US) scheduled to open in 2027. It is to replace the existing Nissan Stadium as the home venue for the National Football League (NFL) team Tennessee Titans.

The 60,000-seat stadium is projected to cost $2.1 billion – including $1.26 billion of public money – the largest stadium subsidy in US history.

The new Nissan Stadium is designed to support mobile ticketing and frictionless entry, live video streaming, real-time social engagement, cashless transactions, and all concessions markets.

The network will also support security, crowd management, and back-of-house operations.

Upendra Pingle, General Manager of Indoor Cellular Networks for ANDREW, said, “Modern stadium needs go well beyond coverage and require a fundamentally different approach to in-building wireless.

“With an all-digital architecture that connects directly to mobile networks, we’re enabling the performance, scalability and simplified multi-operator support that will meet the needs of fans, partners and operations teams for years to come.

“ANDREW has been the leader in digital DAS – designing innovative products – for 89 years and will continue to lead the market for decades to come.”

The Titans announced earlier this year that they have chosen Extreme Networks to deliver advanced wireless connectivity throughout the New Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee (US).

Extreme Networks will deliver a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi 7 network to help ensure fans enjoy seamless connectivity while attending Tennessee Titans games and other world-class events at the stadium.

Extreme Multi-Beam Wireless™, a first of its kind breakthrough innovation engineered to redefine the Wi-Fi performance in the world’s most demanding environments, will be deployed throughout the venue.
