English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has expanded its long-standing partnership with HPE as it looks to modernise the technology environment that powers Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur said that at the centre of this transformation is an HPE Self-Driving Network, bringing high-performance Wi-Fi across the stadium, helping the stadium become one of the first venues in the world to deploy outdoor Wi-Fi 7.
HPE is the club’s Official Hybrid Cloud and IT Enterprise Networking Partner.
From ticketless entry and cashless payments to mobile applications, digital wayfinding, and high-density connectivity, the transformation will support every digital interaction across the supporter journey while enabling the Club to rapidly introduce new services and fan experiences.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has built a global reputation for innovation as one of the world’s most technologically advanced venues.
The Club has invested in the next evolution of its technology environment to meet rising fan expectations, from seamless mobile experiences and digital ticketing to high-density streaming and real-time engagement, while simplifying operations and creating a more resilient foundation for long-term growth.
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, commonly referred to as simply Tottenham or Spurs, is a professional football club based in Tottenham, North London, England, UK. It competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a multipurpose stadium in London, England (UK). It is owned and operated by the Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. With a seating capacity of 62,850 it is the third-largest football stadium in England and the largest club ground in London.
Rob Pickering, Chief Technology Officer, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “Our goal isn’t simply to refresh our infrastructure. It’s to build a simpler, more resilient technology environment that gives us the flexibility to innovate for years to come, streamline operations and support the Club’s long-term growth.
“By bringing together AI, hybrid cloud, networking, services, and financial solutions through a single strategic partner, HPE is helping us simplify operations so our teams can focus on supporting every part of the Stadium, from match days to third-party events and day-to-day operations, rather than managing technology. Ultimately, the best technology is invisible to our fans.”
Matt Harris, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, UK, Ireland, Middle East & Africa, HPE, said: “Sport and entertainment venues are becoming increasingly connected and data-driven, and this partnership reflects a shared commitment to building the digital foundation required to support that evolution.
“Together, we’re helping Spurs build an AI-driven technology backbone that powers every aspect of the stadium, from critical operations behind the scenes to the digital experiences supporters enjoy on match days and beyond.”
HPE will support Tottenham Hotspur throughout the transformation, from design and deployment to the ongoing operation of the new technology environment.
This will help the Club introduce the technology efficiently, optimise performance and maintain the resilience needed across matchdays, major events and day-to-day operations.
HPE Financial Services will also help the Club manage its technology lifecycle more sustainably, extending the life of legacy equipment through refurbishment and reuse to advance the Club’s sustainability goals.
