Ian Ayre is the Vice Chairman of Nashville Soccer Club, where in 2018 he was tasked with building the entire club from the ground up following the award of an MLS franchise to Nashville in 2017. Ian’s work has included the recruitment of over 200 staff and players, the development of the clubs brand and community presence and working on the design and construction of Geodis Park the teams home stadium and its Vanderbilt Health Practice Facility. Geodis Park is the largest Soccer Specific Stadium in North America. Since they started play in 2020, Nashville SC has made the MLS playoffs in 4 of its 5 seasons and in 2023 was a League Cup Finalist playing Inter Miami FC in the final.

Ian has an extensive level of venue experience having worked on development and construction projects at Anfield (Liverpool FC), John Smith Stadium (Huddersfield Town FC), GEODIS Park (Nashville SC). Joe Davis Stadium (Huntsville City FC). In addition, Ian has operated teams at Alliance Arena (1860 Munich), Headingly (Leeds Rhinos & Leeds Rugby) and operated major events at multiple venues across the Asian region.
