AlumniFi to bolster Detroit City fiscal growth

AlumniFi, the digital banking platform of the financial services company Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), has expanded its partnership with the United Soccer League’s (USL’s) Detroit City Football Club in Detroit, Michigan (US).

‘cutoday.info’ stated that in addition to being the club’s exclusive financial partner and the front-of-kit sponsor the multiyear agreement now includes the naming rights for the club’s new stadium – the AlumniFi Field in Detroit, Michigan (US).

AlumniFi is a digital banking service, originally created by the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), which offers mobile banking and financial wellness tools to help the users manage debt, savings and the overall finances. It provides features like a unified view of the student loans, tools to set savings goals and connects the users with financial education resources through its FinLife program which offers personalized, actionable steps based on behavioral Science to promote financial well-being.

The Michigan State University is a public land-grant research university in East Lansing, Michigan, United States. It was founded in 1855 as the Agricultural College of the State of Michigan, the first of its kind in the country.

Primarily serving the students and the alumni of the Michigan State University and the Oakland University the MSUFCU is Federally chartered and regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

The Detroit City FC is an American professional soccer club based in Detroit, Michigan (US) that competes in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship, the second tier of the United States league system. The Detroit City Football Club (DCFC) is building a new, soccer-specific stadium named the AlumniFi Field in Corktown, Detroit (US). The stadium is planned to open in 2027 and will be the only privately-owned and financed professional sports venue in Detroit. It will have a capacity of 15,000.

The Keyworth Stadium is a 7,933-seat multipurpose stadium located in Hamtramck, Michigan, an enclave of Detroit (US). It was opened by the former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on October 15th, 1936, during his second campaign for President.

‘cutoday.info’ further stated that pending public approvals construction on the AlumniFi Field at the corner of the Michigan Avenue and 20th Street is scheduled to begin in late 2025. The soccer-specific venue will be Detroit’s only privately-owned and -financed professional sports stadium and will seat 15,000.
