Tennis Australia has announced the extension of its longstanding partnership with ANZ which has been named the Official Bank of the Australian Open under a new multiyear global agreement.
‘ausopen.com’ stated that the renewed partnership builds on a 16-year relationship between Tennis Australia and ANZ and reflects a shared commitment to supporting communities, delivering world-class experiences and connecting people through sport.
Tennis Australia is the national governing body for tennis in Australia responsible for managing the sport from grassroots to elite levels including running major tournaments like the Australian Open and supporting clubs, coaches and community programs across Australia.
The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, commonly known as ANZ Bank, is a multinational banking and financial services company headquartered in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is Australia’s second-largest bank by assets and fourth-largest bank by market capitalization.
‘ausopen.com’ further stated that as part of the agreement, Tennis Australia and ANZ have unveiled ANZ Arena at Melbourne and Olympic Park, formerly Show Court 3.
ANZ’s expanded partnership also includes its role as Presenting Partner of the Brisbane International reinforcing the bank’s ongoing connection to Queensland.
Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley said the agreement reflects the strength of a partnership built over more than a decade – “ANZ has been a valued partner of Tennis Australia for more than 16 years and this expanded, multiyear agreement reflects our shared commitment to delivering outstanding experiences for fans, players and the broader community. The unveiling of ANZ Arena is an exciting milestone. It’s a court that celebrates our game’s past while creating opportunities for the next generation, and we’re confident it will be the setting for many memorable Australian Open moments.”
The ANZ Arena will be accessible with a Ground Pass ensuring the fans can experience the atmosphere and energy of the court throughout the tournament.

ANZ Group Executive, Institutional, Mark Whelan, said the partnership represents a new chapter in ANZ’s support of the Australian Open.
Added Whelan, “The Australian Open is one of Australia’s most iconic events and the ANZ Arena will deliver a world-class experience for fans and players alike. This partnership builds on our shared values and strengthens our connection to the communities we serve including through our support of the Brisbane International (a major professional tennis tournament).”
ANZ Ambassador and 2022 Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott AO reflected on the significance of the court’s evolution – “Show Court 3 holds some of my most memorable moments and seeing it become ANZ Arena is incredibly special. This court has always been about opportunity and inclusion and it’s great to see it continue to play such an important role at the Australian Open.”
The ANZ Arena will also celebrate Australia’s rich tennis legacy through a series of painted murals lining the internal entrance walls. Developed in partnership with Jacky Winter Group, the artwork will be refreshed annually with new commissioned artists.
