On July 25th, 2025 the redevelopment project plans for the Arechi Stadium and the Campo Vincenzo Volpe in Salerno, Italy, was officially presented in the presence of the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, and the Mayor of Salerno, Vincenzo Napoli.

‘HUB ENGINEERING’ stated that this is a milestone moment for the City and for sport marking the beginning of an ambitious project aimed at transforming two key venues into modern, cutting-edge facilities.

The Arechi Stadium is a multipurpose stadium in Salerno, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of the US Salernitana 1919. The stadium holds 37,800 people.

The Campo Vincenzo Volpe is the training ground for Salernitana, a professional football club in Italy. It is located near the Stadio Arechi, Salernitana’s main stadium. The training ground features an artificial turf pitch and has a capacity to hold 800 spectators.

Hub Engineering is the project leader for this ambitious project coordinating the entire design team.

The Missere Ingegneria Srl, as a Consortium Member designated by Hub Engineering, is also responsible for the design and development of the stadium’s facilities.

During the presser President of Campania De Luca emphasized that a €150 million investment is planned in the capital City of Salerno to create what will be, in the Governor’s words, “the most modern stadium in Italy” ready to host major sporting events including those related to the 2032 European Football Championship.

The 2032 Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Men’s European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA EURO 2032 or simply EURO 2032, will be the 19th UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organized by the UEFA for the Senior Men’s national teams of its member associations. Italy and Turkey will host the tournament which is expected to take place between June and July 2032.

‘HUB ENGINEERING’ further stated that the estimated construction time for the new Arechi and the renovated Volpe stadiums is between 18 and 24 months from the start of construction.

A challenging project, therefore, in line with the Hub Engineering’s mission: To contribute to the transformation of the Italian infrastructure with expertise, innovation and a long-term vision.
