The Jaguars need a temporary home because the EverBank Stadium’s $1.4 billion renovation could force the team out for the 2027 season.
Renovations at the Camping World Stadium include adding more seats to reach a 65,000 capacity, constructing a new community event center and installing a retractable stage for the concerts.
The City leaders are also looking beyond the stadium, voting to expand the Community Redevelopment Agency district to help fund the road, the sidewalk and the infrastructure upgrades around the venue.

The nearby residents say they are concerned about the traffic though some also see the opportunities to benefit from the gameday parking.
The officials have noted that the timeline is tight with construction needing to be completed by the Summer of 2027 just ahead of the NFL season.
