The Championship team Norwich City F.C. recently confirmed details of phased development works at their residence – the Carrow Road in Norwich, England (UK) – as the club seeks to improve supporter experience and prepare the stadium for the long-term future.
‘canaries.co.uk’ stated that the first phases of development will see planning permission submitted for the construction of a new external fan zone. The proposed new fan zone will, subject to planning permission, be located behind the Barclay Stand.

The 27,150-capacity Carrow Road is a football stadium in Norwich, Norfolk, England (UK) and is the home of the Norwich City F.C.
‘canaries.co.uk’ further stated that permission will also be sought for small changes to the façade in both the South and Regency Security Stands which are to accommodate the new facilities inside the stadium along with creating a segregated away entrance point.
From the start of the 2026-2027 seasons the club will introduce a new stadium map. These changes will allow the club to better the matchday experience for all the supporters attending games at Carrow Road with the introduction of new and more bespoke offerings. This will help them further improve the matchday experience for the home supporters.
As part of these works the season ticket holders in the lower tier of the Regency Security Stand and a section of the South Stand will need to relocate to another area of the stadium.
As part of the new stadium map the visiting supporters at Carrow Road will be located in the lower tier of the Regency Security Stand whilst the club will also develop a new premium experience in the South Stand.
The club fully understands that relocating their seat will be a big change for some of their longstanding season ticket holders and they will do everything possible to ensure that this is a smooth process.
For the season ticket renewal period ahead of the 2026-2027 seasons those supporters will be given priority on relocating their season tickets to other areas of Carrow Road and, where possible, be able to sit with their existing friends and family.
Following that period the supporters in the other areas of the stadium will also have the opportunity to relocate their season ticket.
