The Major League Soccer (MLS) team Columbus Crew’s (US) stadium is no longer Lower.com Field and the team has been working to secure a new stadium-naming right partnership for 2026.

The Columbus Dispatch’ stated that recently the team announced it mutually agreed with Lower.com not to extend the stadium’s naming rights deal which has been in place since the stadium opened in 2021. The two parties negotiated a new multiyear partnership without the naming rights component.

The Columbus Crew are an American professional soccer club based in Columbus, Ohio (US). The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference.

The 20,371-capacity ScottsMiracle-Gro Field is a soccer-specific stadium in Columbus, Ohio, United States, that serves primarily as the home stadium of the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer (MLS). It opened in 2021 as the Lower.com Field replacing the club’s previous home, the Historic Crew Stadium.

Lower.com is the website for a technology-driven mortgage lender that provides home purchase and refinancing loans across all 50 States in the United States.

‘The Columbus Dispatch’ quoted Mary Shepro, Crew President of Business Operations, as stating, “While our naming rights agreement has concluded we know Lower.com’s passionate support of ‘The Black and Gold’, our fans and our City will remain strong as part of our ongoing long-term partnership.”

The Crew announced the inaugural naming rights deal on June 15th, 2021 with Lower weeks before the stadium opened its gate for the first Crew match on July 3rd.

Added Dan Snyder, Lower.com head honcho, “Together, we opened the stadium in 2021, celebrated an MLS Cup Championship, lifted the Leagues Cup and Campeones Cup, hosted the MLS All-Star Game, and created countless memories with this incredible fan base.”

The Crew worked with Legends Global, a worldwide venue management group, to secure a new 2026 naming rights deal.

A new name for the stadium is yet to be announced but more information will be provided at a later date, according to the team.
