The new Louth GAA Stadium in Dundalk, Ireland, is to be known as the Edward Goodman Park.
‘rte.ie’ stated that the Louth County Board has announced the Goodman Foundation as the naming rights holder for the venue which is due to open in 2027.
The new Louth GAA Stadium is a €37 million state-of-the-art regional sports hub officially named the Edward Goodman Park and is located on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk, Ireland.
The Goodman Foundation most commonly refers to the philanthropic arm of the global property group Goodman which funds the community organizations focused on children, youth, health, and food rescue.
‘rte.ie’ further stated that Edward Goodman was a Member of the Dundalk Young Irelands team that represented Louth in the first All-Ireland Football Final of 1887.
The Dundalk Young Irelands GFC is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club from Dundalk, County Louth (Ireland) which fields the Gaelic football teams in competitions organized by the Louth County Board.
Dublin (Ireland)-based the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) is an Irish international amateur sporting and cultural organization focused primarily on promoting the indigenous Gaelic games and pastimes which include the traditional Irish sports of hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, Gaelic handball, and the GAA rounders. The Goodman Foundation also intends to partner with the Louth Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) to provide a sensory room in the new stadium which will be constructed during Phase Two of the project.

Edward Goodman Park
The Edward Goodman Park in Dundalk, which is a €37million project, is being constructed in two phases.
Phase One, which is currently under construction, is due to open in 2027 and will accommodate 5,000 spectators.
Phase Two will increase the capacity to 14,000 and is due to commence shortly.
Seated Stand
The new arena will consist of a 4,080-seated stand which will contain two kiosks, four dressing rooms and a physio room each with toilets and showers.
Disabled Toilets
There will be two match officials’ rooms each with toilet and shower facilities, a medical room with a toilet and an office along with the disabled toilets.
Standing Terrace
The standing terrace on the opposite side of the ground will hold 8,470 spectators with male and female toilets, a spectators’ team room, two kiosks, three Press Boxes, and a storeroom.
Standing Areas
There will be two standing areas behind the goals each with a capacity of 725 people.
‘Long Association’
Speaking on the new naming rights deal the Louth County Board Chairman Sean McClean said, “The Louth GAA has had a long association with the Goodman organization and we are delighted that this partnership is going to continue at our new stadium through the involvement of The Goodman Foundation.”
‘Community Initiatives’
A spokesman for The Goodman Foundation stated, “The purpose of the Goodman Foundation is to support the community initiatives and the new home for the Louth GAA is something that everybody in the County and beyond will be able to enjoy as it will be a fitting venue for the sporting and the community events.”
