The Adelaide United Football Club which dominated its journey into the famous Australian football sphere has now added another feather to its cap by announcing the appointment of James Dalwood as the club’s new Commercial Business Manager.

The ‘Adelaide United FC’ stated that with extensive experience in Corporate Business Relations, Dalwood will join ‘The Reds’ current Commercial Department, headed by the Commercial Director, Adam Thomson, and supported by Partnerships Manager, Fabrizio Petrone, and Global Engagement Executive, Steven Chen.

The Adelaide United Football Club is a professional soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. The club participates in the A-League Men under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (pinnacle of professional football in Australia).

The Coopers Stadium is a multipurpose stadium in Hindmarsh, an inner western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is the home of the Australian A-League team, Adelaide United. The stadium has a capacity of 17,000, of which 15,500 is seated.

The ‘Adelaide United FC’ further stated that prior to joining the club, Dalwood had recently spent more than four years at ISC Sport as an Account Manager and State Manager, overseeing territory growth and the development and implementation of sales strategies.

Dalwood also worked at the Norwood Football Club (Australian Rules football club) as a Membership and Marketing Manager for five-and-a-half years, as well as various roles in commercial operations.

Speaking on his appointment, Dalwood said, “I’m extremely excited to be joining Adelaide United’s innovative Commercial Department. In today’s Australian sporting landscape, football is in a fantastic position with many avenues for growth. The current Adelaide United and A-Leagues partnerships, not to mention the new Network 10 and Paramount+ broadcast deal, all provide immense opportunities, as well as looking towards the commercial and membership offerings a redeveloped Coopers Stadium will bring.”

Added Dalwood, “I’m looking forward to being part of this ever-expanding code, but, more importantly, a fantastic organization.”

Thomson welcomed Dalwood’s arrival, stating, “We’re thrilled to have brought James into the club. James is a highly-motivated individual and will bring a lot of additional expertise to our Commercial Department. Not only does James have extensive knowledge of corporate business, his vast network, particularly in the local South Australian sporting market, will undoubtedly prove to be invaluable as we continue to expand as a football club.”

Added Thomson, “With countless opportunities on the horizon for football in Australia, James’ addition to Adelaide United will see us continue to be a leader in the field.”
