The Eden Park is setting a new benchmark for the live event experience in New Zealand with a $10m redevelopment of the Lower West Stand – creating the Coca-Cola Field Club – a permanent field-level hospitality destination beneath the goal posts.

Naylor Love (New Zealand’s largest privately-owned construction company) has been appointed as the Head Contractor for the West Stand redevelopment which is expected to be completed by mid-October 2026.

‘EDEN PARK’ stated that the project is a tangible step in the delivery of Eden Park 2.1 and reflects the stadium’s continued evolution as a world-class destination where the major sport, entertainment, hospitality, and the shared experiences come together.

Coca-Cola Field Club

The Coca-Cola Field Club will support a range of uses across sport, concerts, corporate events, private functions, and non-event day bookings. Combining the premium casual dining, the beverage offerings, the social hospitality, and the proximity to the action, the new space will create a social field-level experience unlike anything currently offered at the Eden Park.

The Eden Park is a sports venue in Auckland, New Zealand. It is located three kilometers Southwest of the Auckland Central Business District (CBD) on the boundary between the suburbs of Mount Eden and Kingsland. The main stadium has a nominal capacity of 50,000 and is New Zealand’s national stadium. The stadium is used primarily for rugby union in winter and cricket in summer and has also hosted rugby league and association football matches as well as concerts and cultural events.

The Eden Park 2.1 is a practical, three-stage master plan to upgrade and modernize the Eden Park, New Zealand’s national stadium in Auckland. Endorsed by the Auckland Council the project aims to future-proof the venue and maximize the existing infrastructure for the major sports and entertainment events.

Flexible Hospitality Environment

‘EDEN PARK’ further stated that made possible through Eden Park’s icon partnership with Coca-Cola, the Coca-Cola Field Club represents an innovative use of the existing stadium infrastructure thus combining proximity to the action with a social, contemporary and flexible hospitality environment designed to enhance the fan experience across the event and the non-event days.

Close-to-action

Once complete, the new space will enable the ticketholders to arrive early, stay late and extend their experience beyond the game or event with hospitality that keeps them connected and close to the action and part of the stadium experience.

‘More than a Seat’

Noted Nick Sautner, Eden Park Chief Executive, “The Coca-Cola Field Club will be a fantastic addition to the Eden Park and we’re delighted that the redevelopment of the Lower West Stand is underway. This new space will give the people another way to experience the scale, energy and occasion of the live events and reflects how the leading stadiums around the world are evolving to meet the changing fan expectations. Many fans and guests are looking for more than a seat. They want atmosphere, connection, choice, and experiences that extend beyond the match, the concert, or the event itself. This project responds to that shift and is a practical example of Eden Park 2.1 being brought to life.”

‘Embracing History’

Added Sautner, “Every venue needs a story and the Eden Park’s story has been shaped over 125 years by the people, the moments and the memories created here. Our responsibility is to embrace that history while continuing to evolve for the future. This redevelopment will enhance the event-day experience, support the year-round use and ensure the Eden Park continues to evolve in line with the global expectations while staying true to what makes the Eden Park special.”

‘Magical Eden Park’

Maintained Wendy Rayner, Managing Director, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, New Zealand, “The Coca-Cola New Zealand is helping bring the fans closer to the moments that matter. Positioned at the field level in New Zealand’s most iconic stadium the Coca-Cola Field Club offers an immersive and premium experience unlike any other. From the buzz of live sport and entertainment to shared celebrations with the friends, the colleagues and the fellow supporters it’s a place to refresh, reconnect and experience the magic of Eden Park from the heart of the action.”

‘Bespoke Projects’

Opined Bruno Goedeke, Naylor Love Head Honcho, “It’s an absolute privilege to be working at New Zealand’s national stadium. Our Projects and Interiors team specializes in delivering bespoke, high-quality projects at speed and we’ve hit the ground running following a hugely productive pre-construction phase. We can’t wait to see people enjoying the new Coca-Cola Field Club at the Eden Park.”

Panoramic Views

The West Stand redevelopment will also include a new Level 2 balcony – an outdoor hospitality space overlooking the turf and providing panoramic views of the stadium from the West.

‘Creating Memories’

Sautner informed that the Coca-Cola Field Club and the Level 2 balcony will add another chapter to the Eden Park experience – Every event at the Eden Park should create memories. The Coca-Cola Field Club will provide new ways for the fans, the families, the friends, the colleagues, and the clients to come together at New Zealand’s national stadium.”

Legacy Initiatives

The Eden Park’s icon partnership with Coca-Cola extends beyond the Coca-Cola Field Club. The multiyear partnership has also supported the important legacy initiatives including the recently unveiled Sir Michael Jones (New Zealand former rugby union player and coach statue) thus helping ensure that significant tribute remains at the Eden Park while celebrating the New Zealand sporting icons.
