The second phase of premium space sales for New York City FC’s under-construction Etihad Park is getting underway.
Sports Business Journal said this phase of sales will focus on three premium seating products giving Tunnel Club access and putting fans just feet away from both teams’ players on NYCFC matchdays.
New York City Football Club, sometimes shortened as NYCFC, is an American professional soccer club based in New York City (US). The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. The 46,537-capacity Yankee Stadium in New York currently serves as their home ground.
The 25,000-capacity Etihad Park is a soccer-specific stadium under construction in the Willets Point neighborhood of Queens, New York City (US). The stadium is the future home of the NYCFC.
Once players walk onto the field, Tunnel Club members at the new stadium will follow them to their seats, including 96 Pitchside Seats and 16 “Gatsby” seats closest to the teams, as well as 164 Tunnel seats.
Tunnel Club members will also be able to watch press conferences from within the club.
In the Tunnel Club, fans will receive a private, reserved table for two or four people featuring an all-inclusive selection of gourmet food and beverages.
The Tunnel Club will open an hour and a half before matches and remain open an hour afterward. Tunnel Club members will also have VIP parking, invitations to exclusive events, a special line of members-only merchandise, and other perks.
The three Tunnel Club seating products are being sold on a full-season basis by Legends with multi-year commitments required.
Legends opened an experience center in Manhattan last September, following the stadium’s first round of premium sales that took place last summer.
The $780 million, all-electric stadium designed by HOK and built by Turner Construction broke ground in late 2024 and will open in Queens across the street from Citi Field ahead of the 2027 MLS season.
The new stadium is made to fit in a narrow, jagged footprint within the larger Willets Point Project site.
It features a rectangular-shaped structure with the Southeast corner cut off by the existing Willets Point Boulevard and the Northwest corner framed to match.
The new Etihad Park stadium is being built on a new 23-acre neighbourhood which will also include 2,500 new housing units, a new public school, a hotel, and 150,000 square feet of public open space.
Klutch Sports Group is selling naming rights and title sponsorships for NYCFC, including the Tunnel Club.
