The National Football League (NFL) team Tennessee Titans has announced that they have chosen Extreme Networks to deliver advanced wireless connectivity throughout the New Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee (US).

‘Extreme networks’ stated that the venue will be the first to deploy Extreme Multi-Beam Wireless™, a first of its kind breakthrough innovation engineered to redefine the Wi-Fi performance in the world’s most demanding environments.

The Extreme Networks will provide a highly connected venue experience.

It is to replace the existing Nissan Stadium as the home venue for the National Football League (NFL) team Tennessee Titans. The 60,000-seat stadium is projected to cost $2.1 billion – including $1.26 billion of public money – the largest stadium subsidy in US history.

High-capacity Coverage

The Extreme Multi-Beam Wireless™ is a brand-new technology that combines MatSing’s advanced antenna technology with Extreme’s access points. It is designed to reach every corner of the building providing targeted, high-capacity coverage even with tens of thousands of people connecting at once.

Founded in 2005, Irvine (US)-based MatSing has developed and patented new meta-materials to create the world’s first lightweight and multibeam lens antennas. This new approach for high-performance, high-capacity antenna design is more efficient and offers key advantages over dish and array antennas, the ability to provide broadband coverage, and emit and maintain multiple beams.

Extreme Powers the NFL

The Tennessee Titans are now the 12th National Football League (NFL) team/stadium to leverage Extreme Wi-Fi to power high-density wireless connectivity, mobile services and enhanced fan experiences throughout the stadium. Additionally, 30 teams have deployed ExtremeCloud Business Insights, a platform designed to turn the stadium Wi-Fi data into insights about the fan behavior, the application usage, engagement, helping the teams improve the gameday experience, the personalize services, and the optimize operations.

The Super Bowl LXIV (Super Bowl 64) is the planned NFL Championship game for the 2029 season scheduled to be played in February 2030. It will take place at the New Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, marking the first time the Super Bowl has been hosted in the State.
