The Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, Italy, home to the Serie A side Atalanta BC, is set to be renamed after the partnership between the international manufacturer of electrical equipment and the top-flight club has been renewed without naming rights.

‘en.atalanta.it’ stated that the smart lighting company Gewiss will no longer enjoy the naming rights to the top-notch club’s home ground – the Bergamo Stadium in Bergamo, Italy. Presently, the Atalanta BC home ground will be known as the Bergamo Stadium for the upcoming fixtures.

However, the Gewiss logo will be visible on the Atalanta’s official match kits.

A new naming rights partner for the above facility is expected to be announced before August 24th.

The Atalanta BC, commonly referred to as Atalanta, is a professional football club based in Bergamo, Lombardy, Italy, who compete in the Serie A, the top tier of the Italian league system.

The Bergamo Stadium is a stadium in Bergamo, Italy. It is the home of the Serie A club Atalanta BC and has a capacity to hold 29,450 spectators. The field is 120 m long and 70 m wide.

‘en.atalanta.it’ further stated that after six years of collaboration on the brand naming of the Atalanta home pitch the two organizations confirmed their partnership to continue investing together in the values of sport and the development of the local territory. A visible sign of this new phase will be the presence of the Gewiss logo as the back sponsor on the Atalanta’s official match kits, a tangible symbol of the continuity of their relationship and the shared value of the project.

Underscored Fabio Bosatelli, President, Gewiss, “Sport, like business, is an extraordinary tool to unite, include and inspire. Sport is the perfect combination of personal ambition, professionalism and our innate need to challenge ourselves, pursue our desires and explore new experiences. Renewing this partnership means strengthening our commitment to sport as a driver of economic and social growth for the City. It means giving shape to a broader vision in which sport and innovation come together to help build a stronger, more cohesive community. This collaboration reflects our deep and authentic bond with the territory and our desire to generate value through passion, responsibility and vision – the same spirit with which we created and delivered the ChorusLife project to the City, a project centered on a sense of belonging, urban innovation and long-term vision.”

Pointed out Paolo Cervini, head honcho, Gewiss, “Today marks a new chapter in partnership with the Atalanta. We have chosen to reaffirm our path alongside Atalanta fully aware that the true value of a partnership lies in the ability to share a long-term vision and goals in order to generate economic and social value.
