The Indian real estate company Omaxe Limited has partnered with the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL – South Asia’s largest hospitality company) to launch a Gateway-branded hotel (an upscale, full-service hotel and resort that is part of the IHCL), a Tata group hospitality company and one of India’s private Members-only clubs at The Omaxe State Dwarka (Delhi, India).

‘Construction Week’ stated that featuring 40 stadium-view suites inside a new international cricket-cum-football stadium the project integrates sports, hospitality, retail, and culture setting a new benchmark for urban destinations in the Delhi-National Capital Region (Delhi-NCR – a region centered on the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India).

New Delhi (India)-based the Omaxe Limited is a leading pan-India real estate company founded in 1987 and diversified into real estate in 2001 that develops the integrated townships, the residential apartments, the villas, and the commercial properties including the shopping malls and hotels across various States in India.

At the heart of the partnership lies a 158-key luxury hotel, featuring 40 exclusive stadium-view suites built inside the international cricket-cum-football stadium – a first for India, offering guests an immersive match-day experience. In addition, there are 108 luxury rooms within the adjoining premium club building, catering to New Delhi’s global business and leisure elite.

Mumbai (India)-based the Indian Hotels Company Limited is an Indian hospitality company that manages a portfolio of hotels, resorts, jungle safaris, palaces, spas, and in-flight catering services. The company is part of India’s Tata Group (Indian global conglomerate).

Blending Retail

‘Construction Week’ further stated that spanning 50.4 acres and developed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), The Omaxe State is designed around five lifestyle districts – Sports, Hospitality, Food, Social, and Shopping.

Anchored by an International Cricket Council (ICC) and FIFA-standard 30,000-seater stadium the project seamlessly blends sports, retail, leisure, and entertainment into one integrated urban ecosystem.

New Delhi (India)-based the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is a statutory body established under the Delhi Development Act, 1957, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India to “promote and secure the development of Delhi”.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global governing body of cricket responsible for administering the sport worldwide including setting the rules, organizing major tournaments like the Cricket World Cup and promoting the game’s growth and development through its Member Nations. Founded in 1909 as the Imperial Cricket Conference the ICC now has over 100 Member Nations and its headquarters are in Dubai, UAE.

In addition to the hotel the IHCL will operate a 250,000 sq. ft. elite Members-only club making it one of the largest in India. Inspired by the global benchmarks like The Bay Club (Mumbai in State of Maharashtra, India), the 20,300-capacity Accor Arena (Paris, France) and the private City clubs in London (UK) and Dubai the club will feature signature restaurants, lounges and the private bars, the Olympic-standard swimming pool and the leisure pool, the spa, wellness and recovery center, the business lounges and the co-working zones, the library, the bowling alleys, the indoor and outdoor sports, world-class gymnastics with the boxing ring and state-of-the-art banqueting and event facilities with multilevel parking.

Strategically located next to the Bharat Vandana Park and the Yashobhoomi (Asia’s largest convention center) the development is expected to become a magnet for the global conferences, the exhibitions and the sporting events.

Leisure Landscape

Maintained Mohit Goel, Managing Director, Omaxe, “The Omaxe State is not just a project it is Delhi’s most ambitious destination. By partnering with the IHCL we are setting new benchmarks for hospitality, sports and urban entertainment. From stadium-view suites to the exclusive club privileges this collaboration will redefine the capital’s lifestyle and leisure landscape.”

With an expected completion by 2027 The Omaxe State is expected to generate a projected revenue of ₹ 4,200 crore over its lifecycle. More importantly, the project is likely to result in direct and indirect employment generation across hospitality, retail, sports, and services. A radius population of 30 lakh (equivalent to Paris) within 10 km makes it a natural epicenter for the NCR’s lifestyle and commerce. With a footfall potential comparable to the Dubai Mall and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (a sporting complex and public park in East Stratford, London, UK), each driving multibillion-dollar boosts to their Host Cities, The Omaxe State is expected to emerge as a landmark destination in Delhi-NCR.
