‘manutd.com’ stated that the year-long project, led by Foster + Partners under the direction of the renowned Mancunian Architect (an architect practicing or based in Manchester, UK) Lord Norman Foster, has successfully delivered a leading-edge, high-performance training environment designed to inspire collaboration, innovation and excellence.

‘manutd.com’ further stated that the project, financed with part of the $300m of capital invested into the club by the Minority Owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe last year has been completed on time and within budget more than a week before the start of the 2025-2026 Premier League seasons (which started on August 15th, 2025 and will conclude on May 24th, 2026). The equipment and technology have been upgraded throughout with a focus on fitness, nutrition, recovery, and team unity.
Designed with input from the players and the staff priority has been placed on functionality, openness and connectivity with increased natural light and open workspaces.
Fresh from a successful pre-season tour of the United States Ruben Amorim’s (Head Coach of Man United) squad stepped into their remodeled home for the first time recently after a year in temporary facilities.
Most of the club’s executive leadership team has also moved into the building together with a number of other staff relocated from the Old Trafford signifying a shift in the club’s center of gravity towards Carrington with football at the core.
Stated Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Co-Owner of Manchester United, “Following a review of the facility last year we made a quick decision to invest significantly in the creation of a world-class performance environment for the staff and the players to reflect our ambition and vision for the Manchester United. We are delighted with the outcome and are confident the new facility will play an important role in building a winning culture at the club.”
Observed Omar Berrada, head honcho, Manchester United, “This project represents a clear step towards unifying every part of the club around a shared footballing vision. By bringing our staff and players closer together in one integrated environment we are creating a culture of collaboration and high performance.”
Redevelopment of the Men’s team building follows the construction of a new £10 million building for the Women’s first team and the Men’s Academy in 2024 bringing the total investment in Carrington to more than £60 million over the past three years and unifying all the club’s teams in a single, modernized campus.
