As part of Saudi Arabia’s Sports Ministry ambitious plans to develop and expand the facilities of the sports clubs, the home ground of the Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq FC – the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam – will also be upgraded.

‘MEED’ stated that as part of the above project, the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium capacity will be increased to 30,000 seats. The renovation will increase the number of stands and remove the running track.

The Al-Ettifaq Football Club is a professional football club in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. It was established following the merger of three Damman clubs in 1944. Al Ettifaq was the first Saudi team to win an international title – the 1984 Arab Club Champions Cup. It plays in the Saudi Pro League, the highest division of association football in the Saudi league system.

The 26,000-capacity Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Stadium is a multipurpose stadium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. It was built in 1973 and named after Muhammad bin Fahd, former Governor of the Eastern Province, and was the first football stadium in the province.
