It has been the home stadium of the LaLiga team Atlético Madrid since 2017.
The Spanish Grand Prix is a Formula 1 motor race held annually in Spain, currently at the 140,700-capacity Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. It is one of the oldest races in the Formula 1 championship. For the 2026 season, the race is scheduled to move to a new venue in Madrid called MADRING.

The FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA will take place over the weekend of September 11th-13th at the MADRING circuit. The new semi-urban layout stretches 5.4 km and includes 22 turns designed to deliver maximum excitement for the fans. Among them is La Monumental which is set to become the circuit’s most iconic area: A 550-meter corner with a 24 percent incline offering a true challenge to the drivers.
