Texas Health Resources has taken the naming rights to the new $88 million Mansfield Stadium in Texas in a 10-year deal with REV Entertainment.
Sports Business Journal said the 7,000-seat venue, which will serve as the home of MLS Next Pro club North Texas SC, is slated to open this summer and will anchor the $2.5 billion Staybolt Street Entertainment District.
The venue, which will be known as Texas Health Mansfield Stadium, is owned by the city of Mansfield and will be operated by REV and FC Dallas, the MLS parent club of North Texas SC.
REV Entertainment is the events and facilities business created by the Texas Rangers.
North Texas Soccer Club, the reigning 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Champions and affiliate of FC Dallas, will play their home games at Mansfield Stadium as the venue’s primary tenant beginning in 2026.
REV Entertainment and FC Dallas will serve as the operators of the venue upon completion, and will collaborate on efforts to bring events and sports programming to the facility, including youth soccer and international tournaments.
Mansfield Stadium will anchor the new 100-acre Staybolt Street Entertainment District, which includes residential, retail, family entertainment, hotel, conference center and entertainment venues.
Perkins&Will was the design architect on the project, with Moss Construction serving as the project’s contractor.
The stadium in Mansfield is also a candidate to serve as a team base camp training site for one of the 48 teams participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
FIFA requires all base camp sites to abide by the same “clean-site” rules as World Cup stadiums, meaning the operators would be required to cover up all corporate branding.
It’s unclear whether that would apply to a non-profit organization like Texas Health Resources.
Financial terms of the naming-rights agreement were not disclosed. REV negotiated the deal directly with the non-profit health system.
Texas Health Resources operates 29 hospital locations across 16 counties, one of which is located in Mansfield.
