The German professional sports club based in Frankfurt (Germany) – Eintracht Frankfurt – is continuing with its act of kindness during these times of coronavirus crisis. After the delivery service for club members, Eintracht is coming up with another offer for people directly affected by the current coronavirus crisis. The club is now ready to support restaurateurs and businesses.

At the receiving end of coronavirus is gastronomy, small businesses and cultural and social institutions. For companies in the city of Frankfurt, the platform www.in-eintracht-helfen.de offers the possibility to sell vouchers or receive donations in order to tackle the financial losses over a longer period and to mitigate the coronavirus effects. Eintracht Frankfurt plays in Bundesliga, the top tier of the German football league system, and forms a significant part of the cityscape.

Eintracht Frankfurt will act as an intermediary, the deal will be struck between the company and the buyer. Parties affected most by coronavirus can send an email to help@eintracht-frankfurt.de to be integrated into the platform.

The club said in a statement, “During the coronavirus crisis and the societal challenges we are all currently facing, solidarity, fighting spirit and perseverance take on an even more important role in supporting the region, its people, local businesses and institutions, while ensuring they emerge from this crisis relatively unscathed.”

Role model

The Eagles’ statement in their website quoted board member Axel Hellmann as saying, “As a major club in the region and a football team steeped in tradition, Eintracht Frankfurt acts as a role model and a powerful tool in bringing people together, as well as making a vital contribution in preserving social solidarity. As we’re aware of our support within the region and beyond, it’s particularly important for us to focus on those in special need of our support due to the coronavirus crisis and the incredibly worrying consequences for the health, care and utility systems. Now it’s time to come together as one for the region.”
