VITEC

VITEC is a French manufacturer and the company is based out of Paris and they do video streaming and it is all about video management and video distribution.

Myriam Calaber tells how the the CO’Met Arena in Orléans, France, collaborated with VITEC to deploy an IPTV and digital signage system to enhance visitor engagement. This venue, featuring multiple event spaces, required efficient content distribution across nearly 200 screens. VITEC’s technology allows live event streaming and dynamic displays optimizing both visitor experience and operational efficiency.

She stated, “It’s a 10,000-seat arena where it was really important for the customers that the video should suit the fan experience and CO’Met had clear idea of their requirements and they wanted across the video to be distributed to start optimizing the infrastructure. So, that was the basic of their requirement. It’s not just the game but the experience which counts at CO’Met.

CO’Met is a multipurpose arena which holds sports events and concerts. It also holds conferences and seminars.”

The CO’Met project had unique characteristics including the need to manage the distribution of video content on many screens in the four halls of the exhibition center, the convention center, the sports center, and the connecting halls throughout the venue. The project presented logistical and content management challenges as each area needed the capability for content to be shown on the displays in the most appropriate way for each space. For example, visitor information and content from business events can be streamed to the breakout rooms on level two of the facility while sporting events can be streamed live in the sports hall.

“During the day the area in the venue is just displaying the right content to the right place. Each display has bespoke content messaging showing the direction and promoting products, powerful platform for video management and device control. To create additional revenue with the displays, user-friendly interface to simplify the operator’s life, third party integration using APIs. For the stadium operator not only is a different visitor experience key but the day-to-day operation of the system. So, whether its video broadcasting of the market team, the market team staff participating on signage or on the content. It’s a lot of work for the teams involved to make the matchdays interesting and to provide very efficient and user-friendly tools. We not only think about the fans and the visitors but the staff. Broadcasting the right content at the right time and managing several events in different sectors of the venue. We want to help streamline operations to making life easier for the operators and staff. We have a powerful yet user-friendly platform, easy to adopt management tools. That’s what we did at CO’Met and we do most of the time. We interact with automation, with point of sale sometimes, with announce systems, bespoke data so the capability to interact with sub-party systems, make it smooth as possible for the user is key for us.”

“We have specific applications to create workgroups, scenarios, moment of exclusivity to a brand-new experience. From the click of a tablet we manage to make our system to be used for mobile devices that will help the staff to manage all of the systems in an all of a day event. From the click of a tablet they can change the look and feel of any area and the systems pre-project, during the project and after the project needs a lot of training and information before the project, during the project development we realized the use per system the more comfortable they are and the key is making the users very comfortable with the tool and that we provide.”
