The American professional soccer club FC Cincinnati President Jeff Berding led an exclusive tour of the under-construction West End Stadium (US) recently as part of which the Major League Soccer (MLS) team FC Cincinnati were allowed to take a dekko of their dream home.
The plush facility which will serve as the new digs of the Major League Soccer (MLS) team FC Cincinnati – broke ground on December 18th, 2018 and is all set to get off the ground on May 16th, 2021. Designed by celebrated design practice Populous, the price tag of the venue stands at $250 million.
The 26,000-capacity West End Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium that is under construction in Cincinnati, Ohio (US). It will be the home of FC Cincinnati, a Major League Soccer (MLS) team that has been temporarily playing at Nippert Stadium in Ohio.

‘FC Cincinnati’ stated that the FC Cincinnati squad got to take a tour of their future home. Leading them was Jeff Berding who termed the stadium as the “new home of soccer in Greater Cincinnati”.

The Bailey
The raucous, rampant roar from ‘The Bailey’ is mighty and loud, which is why it’s known as the best supporters’ section in the United States.
The brand new Bailey in West End Stadium is designed to amplify the intensity of every gameday experience, and as a ‘thank you’ to ‘Orange and Blue’s’ most avid fans.
Smart seats
‘FC Cincinnati’ further stated that with incredible sightlines and unprecedented proximity to the field, there isn’t a single bad seat in the house. All seats feature chairbacks and cupholders, and coverage from the stadium’s 360-degree canopy roof will protect onlookers from the elements on matchday.
Suites
Suites at West End Stadium will feature the closest and most intimate suite experience in Cincinnati, and with the right of first refusal for non-FC Cincinnati events, suite holders will be able to provide high value entertainment for their guests year-round.
Potential events guests will be able to experience include: Concerts, cultural events, national team games, international friendlies, and more.
Digital lockers
Digital lockers will allow for web orders to be picked up without stopping at the desk in the team store at the FC Cincinnati’s smart facility.
Video boards
There are two video boards, as well as two LED ribbon scoreboards that wrap around the mezzanine.
Seating Bowl
Berding gave a glimpse of the seating bowl at the luxuriant venue. In fact, during the initial stages of construction, fans were asked to pick up the bowl seating design from a group of four patterns designed by stadium architect Populous.
Hybrid turf field
FC Cincinnati partnered with locally-based, internationally known sports field experts, The Motz Group, to design and build the playing surface at the West End Stadium. The field is being cross cut in preparation for the grand opening.
Concession spaces
Concession spaces remain under construction on the concourse at the spectacular stadium.
With D-Day nearing – on May 16th, 2021 a regular season match is slated to be held between FC Cincinnati and MLS team Inter Miami CF – soon Cincinnatians will bask in the glory of ‘The Crown Jewel’ of Cincinnati – the West End Stadium – which truly makes for a vision.
