The Saudi Arabia-based bank Alinma has landed the naming rights of the Al-Jawhara Stadium (also known as the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marking a significant partnership in Saudi Arabian football.
The venue will now be known as the Alinma Stadium following a deal finalized in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) between the Alinma Bank and the Ministry of Sports. The above deal will run until 2029. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
‘The Ministry of Sport (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) Post on X’ stated, “H.E. Vice-Minister of Sport Bader Alkadi and the Alinma Bank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Al-Khalifa signed the naming rights investment agreement for the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.”
The Ministry of Sport stated that the entire exercise to find a naming rights partner for the historic facility was a multistep process and the applications submitted by the companies were all sieved through.
