The LaLiga team FC Barcelona (Spain) and the Spanish wine and cava company Raventós Codorníu have signed a sponsorship agreement under which the oldest wine company in Spain and a leader in quality wines and cavas become the new Official Wine and Cava Partner of Espai Barça for five seasons – until June 30th, 2029.

‘fcbarcelona.es’ stated that as part of the above deal the top-flight has added a new strategic partner to its flagship project – Espai Barça – and top-quality wines and cavas will be served once the Barça home – the transformed Spotify Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain – reopen its doors likely by 2026.

The Futbol Club Barcelona, commonly known as FC Barcelona and colloquially as Barça, is a professional football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, that competes in LaLiga, the top flight of Spanish football.

The Spotify Camp Nou is a stadium in Barcelona, Spain, and the home of the LaLiga club FC Barcelona since its opening in 1957. It is currently undergoing renovation and with a planned increased seating capacity of 105,000 it will be the stadium with the largest capacity in Spain and Europe and the second largest association football stadium in the world.

Since the Spotify Camp Nou renovations are ongoing, the FC Barcelona is playing its home matches at the 55,926-capacity Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuïc, Barcelona, Spain.

Barcelona (Spain)-based the Raventós Codorníu is the oldest wine company in Spain and the creator of cava. The company has five centuries of history and an experience that combines tradition and modernity resulting in leading wineries in their wine regions.

With 15 emblematic wineries spread across Spain, Argentina and California (US) as well as 3,000 hectares of vineyards, Raventós Codorníu is one of the world’s leading winemakers in viticulture and boasts vast oenological knowledge.

For Raventós Codorníu, sustainable development is a key factor in its business model. Its corporate goal of ‘Giving Value to the Earth’ and holding the vision to become the first sustainable wine company in the world bears testimony to it.

The ‘Espai Barça’ project is a large-scale renovation project of FC Barcelona to completely revamp all their facilities in the Les Corts neighborhood of Barcelona, including the iconic Spotify Camp Nou stadium, the 7,585-capacity Palau Blaugrana (home to the basketball, handball, roller hockey, and futsal divisions of FC Barcelona), the training grounds, and the other club offices with the aim to modernize the entire complex and enhance the fan experience while maintaining the club’s heritage essentially meaning ‘Barcelona Space’ in Catalan.

The partnership between the club and Raventós Codorníu which is included in the sponsorship program associated with the future Spotify Camp Nou continues to demonstrate FC Barcelona’s commitment to building a stadium that offers a unique experience for those who enjoy it from one of the VIP spaces. With the above agreement, Barça reiterates its commitment to excellence and turns the new facilities into a business and collaboration platform for an international Catalan company of the stature of Raventós Codorníu.

‘fcbarcelona.es’ further stated that the FC Barcelona is true to its Catalan roots and the deal with Raventós Codorníu best exemplifies how companies from Barcelona and Catalonia are keen to be partners of Espai Barça, a City and country project that also aims to become a global benchmark.

In addition, it is also a leg-up to the sponsorship program designed specifically for Espai Barça, one of the most important projects in the history of the club and which has opened up geyser of opportunities both for the companies that target the consumers directly (B2C) and for those focused on the business sector (B2B), cashing in on the global popularity of FC Barcelona.

More than a Stadium

The Espai Barça is a revolutionary project in the world of sport and entertainment, including the renovation of the iconic Spotify Camp Nou, which will turn it into the most spiffy sports complex in the center of a large City and the Barça Hospitality is the cherry on the cake. The VIP offerings will be top-notch.

The partnership with Raventós Codorníu wines and cavas will improve the wine and food experience of all the fans that enjoy a matchday at the Spotify Camp Nou from one of the VIP seats and its exclusive spaces.

Remarked Juli Guiu, Vice-President of Marketing at FC Barcelona, “The alliance with Raventós Codorníu goes on to prove that the FC Barcelona wants to offer an exhilarating experience to the fans who visit the redecorated Spotify Camp Nou and also offer out-of-the-world experience for the spectators in the VIP areas. They want to offer a 100 percent Barça experience.”

Stated Sergio Fuster, head honcho of Raventós Codorníu, “It gives us immense pleasure to be able to offer our best cavas and wines in such an emblematic venue as the Spotify Camp Nou. We are on cloud nine over the above deal struck because Raventós Codorníu and Barça share their origins, values and goals such as providing people with moments of happiness and celebration.”
