EE, the mobile phone network, has signed a series of deals to continue as the exclusive Lead Partner of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales’ (UK) national soccer teams until 2028.

‘Sportcal’ stated that the four-year extension will see the EE logo continue to appear on all training kits worn by the England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales’ Senior Men’s and Women’s sides until then.

London (UK)-based the EE (formerly Everything Everywhere) is a British mobile network operator and Internet service provider and a brand of BT Consumer, a division of the BT Group. It was established in 2010 and is the second-largest mobile network operator in the United Kingdom with 21.2 million customers as of September 2022.

London (UK)-based the BT Group is one of the world’s leading communications services companies. At BT Group, the solutions they sell are integral to modern life. Their purpose is as simple as it is ambitious: They connect for good.

‘Sportcal’ further stated that also as part of the deal the England’s Wembley Stadium national team home in London will retain its branded title of Wembley Stadium connected by EE with the network’s branding also remaining across the stadium with EE having extended its commitment to invest in new technology at the venue.

The 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium (sometimes referred to as The New Wembley and branded as the Wembley Stadium connected by EE for sponsorship reasons) is an association football stadium in Wembley, London (UK). It opened in 2007 on the site of the original Wembley Stadium which had stood from 1923 until 2003. The stadium is England’s national football stadium and thus hosts the majority of the England national team home matches.

The EE will also continue its title sponsorship of The Football Association (FA) Disability Cup (a national football competition for the players with impairments. It’s the biggest competition of its kind in the United Kingdom) and the England Para Lions (a football team that is part of the England Para Football program. The program aims to develop players with impairments such as cerebral palsy, visual impairments, or hearing impairments, so that they can play for their country) while becoming a partner of The FA’s eLions, England’s official esports team.

London (UK)-based the Football Association (the FA) is the governing body of association football in England and the Crown Dependencies of Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. Formed in 1863, it is the oldest football association in the world and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the amateur and professional game in its territory.

Finally, the EE customers will also continue to have access to benefits including match offers and tickets to events covering all the four nations.

The partnership was first signed in 2015 with the EE having been the first network to bring both 4G and 5G connectivity to the Wembley Stadium.

Pointed out Pete Jeavons, Marketing Communications Director at EE, “Since the partnership began we have worked with the Home Nations football associations to use football as a catalyst for change, addressing the important societal issues. The EE is proud to stand beside all the four Home Nations (a collective term in sport usually referring to England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales) and Wembley – the home of English football – for the next four years continuing to invest in the sport at all levels to engage communities across the country.”

Maintained Mark Lynch, Stadium Director at Wembley Stadium, “We are delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with the EE which will ensure the Wembley Stadium retains its status as one of the best-connected stadia in the world. Over the last 10 years the EE has continually demonstrated its commitment to invest in developments across the stadium including the 5G network and our two sensory rooms which are hugely popular with the neuro-divergent guests who might otherwise not be able to attend the large-scale events. The new agreement will bring more benefits to all our guests over the next four years and enable us to deliver an improved customer experience for all.”
