‘enmaeya.com’ stated that Infantino, who recently obtained Lebanese citizenship, described the meeting as a personal and professional milestone – “I was honored to meet President Joseph Aoun. I love Lebanon, half of me is Lebanese.”

He announced plans to build a new stadium that meets international standards which will be offered to Lebanon and the Lebanese Football Association (LFA – the official governing body for football [soccer] in Lebanon).

The Lebanese Football Association President Hachem Haidar, who accompanied Infantino during the meeting, praised the initiative and thanked President Aoun for supporting the project.

‘enmaeya.com’ further stated that the proposed stadium is expected to provide Lebanon with a facility that meets international football standards addressing longstanding gaps in the country’s sporting infrastructure.
