Spanish football club CF Intercity has bought land in Rabasa to develop a 10,000-seat stadium, which will form part of its Alicante Park project.
Iberian Property said the Alicante Park project envisions the construction of a versatile, state-of-the-art venue designed to host both sporting and entertainment events.
Among its key features are infrastructure prepared for large-scale concerts with a capacity exceeding 30,000 attendees, as well as a football stadium with an initial capacity of 10,000 seats, expandable as needed.
The land acquisition has been finalized for a total of €2.6 million, of which €1,804,500 has already been paid, while the remaining €800,000 has been structured as a 10-year payment plan, with annual instalments of €80,000.
The purchase of the Rabasa land represents a decisive step forward in the development of the Alicante Park project, securing the availability of the land on which the infrastructure will be built.
Acquiring the land eliminates one of the project’s main risks and allows progress toward its execution, consolidating Alicante Park as a real, tangible, and strategic asset with the capacity for development in the short and medium term.
Club de Fútbol Intercity is a Spanish football team based in Alicante, in the Valencian Community. The club plays in Segunda Federación – Group 5, the fourth tier of the Spanish football league system.
The club plays its home matches at the Estadio Antonio Solana, with a capacity of 2,000 spectators.
Alicante Park is a strategic project driven by CF Intercity that will attract major sporting, cultural, and musical events, including large-scale concerts, positioning Alicante as a city ready to host national and international shows.
The development of the complex will contribute to revitalizing the Rabasa area, fostering its transformation and consolidating it as a new hub of economic activity in the city.
In addition, the complex will integrate areas dedicated to events, restaurants, and activities related to sports and leisure, creating an environment designed to offer experiences year-round.
With an estimated investment of over €60 million, Alicante Park aims to become an economic engine for the city of Alicante, generating activity, attracting events, and fostering development in the surrounding area.
The project is designed to boost activity year-round, reinforcing Alicante’s image as a leisure, sports, and entertainment destination, and contributing to the region’s sustainable growth.
CF Intercity President Salvador Martí said, “The completion of this transaction represents a decisive step in making Alicante Park a reality. We are building a key infrastructure that will contribute to the economic and social development of Alicante.
“The final acquisition of the land demonstrates the company’s commitment to its development and confirms its determination to move decisively toward its implementation.”
The venue aims to become an economic engine for the city of Alicante and its surrounding area, attracting major national and international events and generating a positive impact on sectors such as tourism, hospitality, and services.
The project marks the group’s entry into the large-scale infrastructure segment for sporting, cultural, and entertainment events, incorporating new business lines with the potential to generate recurring revenue.
CF Intercity continues working on the administrative procedures for the project, making progress in obtaining the necessary permits to accelerate its development.
