The Hunt Sports Development recently announced a partnership with the Peak Curated Development and the Venu Holding Corporation to create a transformational mixed-use district on the East side of the Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center in Frisco (Texas, US), the home of the Major League Soccer (MLS) team FC Dallas.

The project is slated for groundbreaking in 2027 and the $215 million renovation to the Toyota Stadium is on schedule for completion in the spring of 2028.

Mixed-use Development

‘businesswire.com’ stated that the district will complement the multiphase office complex on the West side of the Toyota Stadium announced last year which will feature more than one million square feet of premium office space. The resulting mixed-use development surrounding the Toyota Stadium will serve the residents, the visitors, the sports fans, and the businesses throughout the North Texas community.

Texas (US)-based the Hunt Sports Development is a real estate development division owned by the family of American sports pioneer Lamar Hunt. The Hunt Family owns and operates the National Football League (NFL) team Kansas City Chiefs and the Major League Soccer (MLS) team FC Dallas and also maintains investments in real estate, entertainment and other sports entities. The Hunt family and Hunt Sports are committed to excellence on and off the field guided by the belief that sports are woven into the fabric of the communities.

The Peak Curated Development exists to reinvent real estate – from something the people occupy into something they experience. Founded by the veteran developer and the industry leader Cameron Gunter the company draws on more than two decades of experience developing high-barrier-to-entry real estate across the United States and Canada.

Colorado (US)-based the Venu Holding Corporation is a premier owner, developer and operator of luxury, experience-driven entertainment destinations.

The 23,900-seat Toyota Stadium is a sports venue located in Frisco, Texas, a suburb of Dallas (US). Built and owned by the city of Frisco it serves as the home facility of the Major League Soccer (MLS) team FC Dallas.

The FC Dallas is an American professional soccer club based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The club competes in the Major League Soccer (MLS) as a Member of the Western Conference. The Toyota Stadium serves as its home field.

The Toyota Stadium and the Toyota Soccer Center is a 145-acre multipurpose sports and entertainment complex located in Frisco, Texas (US).

Economic Engine

‘businesswire.com’ further stated that the partnership will further establish the Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center as an anchor for the Frisco community and an economic engine for North Texas thus transforming the campus into a year-round destination for hospitality, business, dining, and entertainment.

‘Vibrant Community’

Commented Clark Hunt, FC Dallas Chairman-cum-Head Honcho, “Nearly three decades ago my dad, Lamar Hunt, worked with the City of Frisco to build a stadium surrounded largely by farmland. He had a vision that someday it would become the center of a vibrant community. Today, it is our honor to build upon our dad’s legacy and help bring that vision to life.”

‘Year-round Destination’

Added Dan Hunt, President, FC Dallas, “The Toyota Stadium has long served as the anchor for this campus. Adding hospitality, dining and live entertainment will build on that foundation and continue to make this one of North Texas’ most active year-round destinations.”

Dynamic Destination

The first phase of the project will feature an approximately 290-room boutique hotel and more than 40,000 square feet of convention, meeting and event space thus creating a dynamic destination for the business travelers, the sports enthusiasts, the leisure guests, conferences, and entertainment. The hotel will be designed to provide a distinctive guest experience with a full-service restaurant and bar, a rooftop bar and lounge, an experiential spa and fitness center, and other guest-focused amenities.

‘Immersive Experience’

Added Cameron Gunter, Founder/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Peak Curated Development, “We’re excited to be a part of this new unique destination and the opportunity to curate a highly immersive experience for the guests and the patrons. Together, with the Toyota Stadium, we are blending hospitality, events and entertainment to create an entirely new platform for Frisco that should attract bigger and better events from across the region and around the world.”

Vibrant Destination

At the heart of the development will be a highly flexible convention and event center featuring more than 25,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space, including a 15,000-square-foot ballroom, which will be divisible into smaller breakout rooms. Designed with adaptability and year-round utilization in mind the ballroom and the event spaces can be configured for traditional conferences and conventions while also transforming into a 3,000-person music hall, live entertainment venue or other large-scale event space. This flexibility is intended to create a vibrant destination throughout the week and across the calendar thus expanding the property’s appeal to a variety of customers and clients.

‘Long-term Success Partnership’

Observed J.W. Roth, Founder, Chairman and CEO, VENU, “The Hunt family has spent decades building sports, hospitality and real estate assets across United States and the FC Dallas and the Toyota Stadium have always been at the center of that legacy in Frisco. The hotel and convention center will bring life to the Toyota Stadium campus every day of the year and this partnership is built for long-term success.”

Fastest-growing Communities

The project reflects the continued growth of Frisco as one of United States most dynamic and fastest-growing communities.

Since the Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center opened in 2005 the city has emerged as a leading destination for sports, business and entertainment thus adopting the nickname ‘Sports City USA’. In addition to serving as the home of the FC Dallas the Toyota Stadium has hosted major concerts, women’s national team matches, training sessions for FIFA World Cup 2026™, and 15 consecutive National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Championship games. The stadium also serves the Frisco Independent School District, a key contributor in the successful public-private partnership that helped bring the stadium to Frisco.

Compelling Destination

The new mixed-use district is expected to further strengthen that momentum by creating a compelling destination capable of attracting both regional visitors and the national events.

‘Community Impact’

Enthused Wes Pierson, Frisco City Manager, “We’re excited for what the future holds for the Hunt Sports Development, the Toyota Stadium and FC Dallas. Since Frisco first penned our public-private partnership the FC Dallas has been a valued partner in our community. This project helps ensure the team and the stadium will have a positive economic and community impact for generations to come.”
