The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) recently announced the 15 stadiums in 14 United States and Canadian metropolitan areas that will host matches of the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup.
‘Concacaf’ stated that the 17th edition of Concacaf’s flagship competition for men’s national teams will be played between June 16th-July 16th and will crown the best national team in the region.
Miami (US)-based the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football, abbreviated as Concacaf, is one of FIFA’s six continental governing bodies for association football.
The Concacaf Gold Cup is the main association football competition of the men’s national football teams governed by Concacaf, determining the continental champion of North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The Gold Cup is held every two years.
The 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup will be the 17th edition of the Concacaf Gold Cup, the biennial international men’s football championship of the North, Central American and Caribbean region organized by Concacaf.
‘Concacaf’ further stated that the above announcement comes after the Confederation confirmed that the ‘Our Final’ on July 16th was awarded to Los Angeles’ 70,240-capacity SoFi Stadium.
The 2023 Gold Cup is a key part of the region’s vibrant Summer of football, which will also include the Final of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League on June 4th, and the Concacaf Nations League Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada, between June 15th-18th.
The Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League is the premier professional soccer competition in the North America, Central America and Caribbean region, pitting the best teams from domestic leagues in Concacaf member-nations against one another in a 16-team knockout tournament format.
The Concacaf Nations League is an international association football competition contested by the senior men’s national teams of the member-associations of Concacaf, the regional governing body of North America.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup™ will be the 23rd FIFA World Cup™, the quadrennial international men’s soccer championship contested by the national teams of the member-associations of FIFA. It will be co-hosted by United States, Mexico and Canada and is scheduled to be held from June 11th-July 19th, 2026.
The 15 stadiums that will host Gold Cup matches are, in alphabetical order by City (previously hosted Gold Cups):

- The 74,867-capacity Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina (2011,2015, 2019);
- The 61,500-capacity Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois (2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2019);
- The 25,513-capacity TQL Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio (first-time host);
- The 18,000-capacity DRV PNK Stadium, Fort Lauderdale, Florida (2021);
- The 63,400-capacity State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizona (2009, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021);
- The 25,000-capacity Red Bull Arena, Harrison, New Jersey (2013, 2017, 2019);
- The 72,220-capacity NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas (2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2019, 2021);
- The 22,039-capacity Shell Energy Stadium, Houston, Texas (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021);
- The 70,240-capacity SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California (first-time host);
- The 65,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada (2021);
- The 35,000-capacity Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego, California (first-time host);
- The 68,500-capacity Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California (2017);
- The 22,500-capacity CityPark, St. Louis, Missouri (first-time host); and
- The 30,991-capacity BMO Field, Toronto, Canada (2015).
The Concacaf will announce a complete match schedule, including specific match venue assignments, ticketing information and other details in the days following the official draw.
Gold Cup Venue Highlights
First-time Host Venues are:
- TQL Stadium, home to Major League Soccer’s (MLS) FC Cincinnati;
- CityPark Stadium in St. Louis, the newest soccer stadium in the United States whose MLS team St. Louis City SC debuted in MLS in 2023;
- Snapdragon Stadium, home of the San Diego State Aztecs football as well as the San Diego Wave FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL);
As previously announced, the SoFi Stadium, home to the National Football League’s (NFL’s) Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, will host the 2023 Gold Cup Final in its first-ever Gold Cup event.
This will be the first time the cities of Cincinnati and St. Louis host the confederations’ tournament, and the fourth for the City of San Diego.
Other highlights:
The tournament returns to Canada for the second time, and first since 2015, when the BMO Field in Toronto hosted a group stage doubleheader.
The 2023 Gold Cup will mark the seventh edition of the event hosted at the Soldier Field (Chicago, Illinois) and the NRG Stadium (Houston, Texas), a record number in the history of the tournament.
