As Vice President of Affiliates for the Chicago Blackhawks, Dan Lehv is responsible for the organization’s developmental hockey properties and programs. This includes the strategic direction of Blackhawks Ice Center, a premier hockey destination that serves as the Blackhawks practice and training facility and permanent home of the Blackhawks Hall of Fame, while also featuring elevated hospitality experiences, capabilities for hosting special events and programming, and USG Arena, home of the United States Hockey League’s (USHL) Chicago Steel.

In this role, Lehv also oversees the Blackhawks amateur hockey department and initiatives designed to grow participation, access, and long-term engagement in the sport of hockey. A two-time recipient of the Dave Tyler USHL Executive of the Year Award, Lehv has served as President of the Chicago Steel since 2015. Under his leadership, the Steel have become one of the most successful franchises in junior hockey, achieving record attendance and revenue growth while establishing themselves as a leading development destination for NHL and NCAA prospects.

During his tenure, the Steel have captured multiple league championships, including two Clark Cup titles (2016-17 and 2020-21), three Eastern Conference titles, and two Anderson Cup Championships (the USHL regular-season title), and have been recognized as a model organization within the USHL. Lehv also previously served as Chairman of the USHL Board of Directors and continues to serve on the league’s executive committee.

Prior to his time in Chicago, Lehv served as President of the Dubuque Fighting Saints, where he deepened the club’s ties to the local hockey and business communities and established them as a viable and sustainable long-term business franchise. Earlier in his career, he spent over a decade in minor league baseball with the St. Paul Saints and Charleston RiverDogs, holding senior roles in sales, marketing, media relations and broadcasting.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Lehv resides in Geneva, Illinois, with his wife, Jessica, and children, Miriam and Ari.
