John McDermott is a Senior Associate and Office Director of ME Engineers’ Manchester office, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the construction and live events industries. Alongside a strong background in permanent electrical design and construction supervision across the UK, John has developed specialist expertise in event overlay infrastructure, notably heading up the delivery of temporary and permanent overlay for the NFL’s International Games in Europe ensuring resilient, compliant, and broadcast-ready power systems under demanding programme constraints. His role requires close collaboration with international stakeholders, venue operators, broadcasters, event production teams, and contractors to deliver mission-critical infrastructure safely and reliably.
