Honda Center in line for $1 bn makeover

New Honda Center renovation

OC Sports and Entertainment

The Honda Center, home of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks, is all set to undergo a $1 billion renovation project.

Fox 11 said the privately-funded renovation will happen throughout 2027 and the sports and concert venue will remain open through the redevelopment.

The Samueli family, which owns the Ducks, is solely funding the arena project. The improvements are part of the $4 billion mixed-use district under development around the Honda Center known as OCViBE.

OCVibe is a 100-acre master planned campus taking shape around Honda Center with shopping, dining, sports, entertainment, open space, apartments, offices, parking and more underway now and unfolding in the next few years.

The project is bringing the kind of excitement and experiences seen around arenas and stadiums in San Diego, Sacramento, Los Angeles and other cities while also being uniquely Anaheim.

Olympic Volleyball will be held at the Honda Center during the Los Angeles Games in 2028, marking the first time this premier entertainment and sports venue will host an Olympic event.
