Austrian football club Linzer ASK has extended the naming rights to the Raiffeisen Arena with the sponsoring bank until 2040.
LASK and Raiffeisenlandesbank Upper Austria are sending a strong signal of continuity and stability by extending the naming rights agreement for another 14 years.
For three years now, the Raiffeisen Arena has served not only as the sporting home of LASK, but also as a meeting place for sports, families, and business.
The partnership with Raiffeisenlandesbank Upper Austria is based on mutual trust, reliability, and consistency. The home of the Black and Whites has borne the name of its leading partner for many years. This will continue to be the case in the future.
Linzer ASK, commonly known as LASK, is an Austrian professional football club based in Linz, Austria. It plays in the Austrian Football Bundesliga, the top tier of Austrian football.
The Raiffeisen Arena is a football stadium in Linz, Austria. It opened in 2023 on the site of the Linzer Stadion which was built in 1952 and demolished in 2021. The stadium has a total of 19,080 seats with 17,117 seats available for international matches. It serves as the home of Linzer ASK.
An average of around 13,000 fans have flocked to LASK’s 61 competitive matches at the Raiffeisen Arena so far, with 32 victories recorded there.
The stadium has also established itself as a regular venue for international matches.
The Austrian men’s national team has already played six matches at LASK’s stadium, most recently securing three important points on their way to World Cup qualification with a 1-0 win against Cyprus in September of last year.
The women’s national team played their European Championship qualifier against Germany there in April 2024.
But the Raiffeisen Arena is much more than just a home for sports. It serves as an adventure zone for families and children, a networking platform for more than 300 LASK sponsors and partners, and acts as an economic engine and driving force for the value chain in the local state.
This is also underscored by a recent study from the SLC Management Institute, which found that the total regional economic impact amounts to around €130 million annually.
Furthermore, the stadium has long since established itself as an attractive event location, hosting more than 500 events outside of match days in its first three years.
These included apprenticeship fairs, congresses, seminars, weddings and baptisms, the Upper Austria Business Cup and the Upper Austria Apprenticeship Cup, as well as children’s birthday parties, the Night of the Family, and the LASK Children’s Football Camp.
By the end of 2025, the stadium had surpassed the one million visitor mark.
Dr. Siegmund Gruber & Mag. Mergim Bresilla, Managing Directors of LASK, said, “The Raiffeisen Arena is our sporting home and has developed an enormous appeal far beyond football.
“It is a meeting place that connects sport, family, and business, and a prime example of what is possible when everyone pulls together. Even outside of match days, a diverse range of activities takes center stage, making the Raiffeisen Arena a vibrant experience throughout the year.
“The long-term extension of the naming rights until 2040 is an important milestone for us and a strong sign of our conviction to continue on this path together. We are very grateful to Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ for their trusting partnership and look forward to a continued successful future together.”
Reinhard Schwendtbauer, CEO of Raiffeisenlandesbank Upper Austri said, “As Raiffeisenlandesbank Upper Austria, supporting projects that sustainably advance Upper Austria is a key priority for us.
“LASK and the Raiffeisen Arena undoubtedly fall into this category: they combine sporting success with economic responsibility and make a significant contribution to raising the profile of our state beyond its borders.
“We look forward to continuing this successful partnership and jointly providing further impetus for sports and the Upper Austrian economy.”
