The Bundesliga team RB Leipzig is setting the course for the gastronomic experience of its fans in the public areas of their home pitch – the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany.

‘RB LEIPZIG’ stated that starting in the 2026-2027 seasons Levy will take over the catering. The partnership is initially for six years.

The RB Leipzig is a German professional football club based in Leipzig, Saxony (Germany). It plays in Bundesliga, the highest level of the German football league system.

The 47,800-seat Red Bull Arena is a football stadium located in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany, in the Zentrum-Nordwest locality. It is the largest football stadium in Eastern Germany and serves as the home venue of the RB Leipzig. It has also hosted music concerts as well as football.

Levy is one of the world’s leading providers of hospitality and catering services for sports, event and the entertainment venues. The company develops and operates catering concepts for the numerous stadiums, the arenas and the event venues worldwide.

Catering Experience

‘RB LEIPZIG’ further stated that the RB Leipzig aims to further develop its catering experience with its new partner. The focus is on shorter waiting times and faster, more convenient processes at the kiosks. The extensive investments in infrastructure, equipment and digital processes are planned to achieve this.

Innovative Concepts

The RBL fans can look forward to this – The modernized kiosk areas, more efficient ordering and payment processes and the optimized visitor flow are intended to further enhance the stadium experience. At the same time, the food and beverage (F&B) offerings are being developed with innovative concepts and even more closely aligned with the fan needs – with a particular focus on regionality, quality and variety. The extensive feedback from the fan matchday surveys was incorporated into the selection of the caterer.

The change also marks the end of the longstanding partnership with Gastrobüro (a full-service event gastronomy and public catering company based in Germany). The company had been RB Leipzig’s Catering Partner since 2014 and had successfully supported the club for over a decade.

‘Catering Options’

Remarked Johann Plenge, Managing Director (MD), RB Leipzig, “With Levy we have gained an internationally experienced partner who impressed us in a multistage and comprehensive selection process. Together, we will consistently develop the catering options in the public areas of our Red Bull Arena to further enhance the stadium experience for our fans. At the same time we would like to thank Gastrobüro. The company has been a reliable partner of RB Leipzig since 2014. We sincerely thank them for their great commitment and the trusting cooperation.”

‘Gastronomic Concepts’

Added Jens König, Head Honcho Levy Europe, “The RB Leipzig stands for speed, ambition and a clear commitment to quality – these are the values we share and that will drive our collaboration. Our goal is to jointly demonstrate what the modern stadium catering can offer today: Fast, high-quality and consistently tailored to the needs of the fans. To achieve this we will invest in the infrastructure, the digital processes and the innovative gastronomic concepts – with the clear aim of significantly enhancing the matchday experience at the Red Bull Arena. The fact that the fan feedback was actively incorporated into the partner selection process shows how seriously the RB Leipzig takes its own standards. This is precisely the attitude with which we want to work together.”
