Ignacio Villarroel holds the designation of General Secretary of the Argentine professional sports club River Plate based in the Núñez neighborhood of Buenos Aires (Argentina).

Villarroel, who was earlier a lawyer by profession, has vast experience of working with established law firms. He was the Board Member of the River Plate Club from the year 2013-2017 and was in charge of Security and also looked into legal issues. Since the year 2019, he is in his present role as the General Secretary of the club.

A person with strong entrepreneurship qualities, he did his graduation from Pontificia Universidad Católica, Argentina.
