Rand Harris serves as Associate Athletics Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the University of Alabama, where he has led the Athletics Department’s technology strategy and innovation for more than a decade. He oversees the department’s technology infrastructure and IT operations, driving initiatives that strengthen business operations while enhancing the experience for student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans.

Under Rand’s leadership, Alabama Athletics has implemented innovative technology solutions that keep the department at the forefront of sports and entertainment technology. His strategic vision and commitment to operational excellence have helped position the University of Alabama as a leader in leveraging technology to support championship-caliber athletics and an exceptional fan experience.

Rand’s leadership has been recognized beyond campus, earning him recognition as a finalist for the Alabama ORBIE Awards in the Public Sector/Nonprofit category in both 2020 and 2021. He is passionate about using technology to drive innovation, improve operations, and deliver meaningful experiences for the Alabama Athletics community.
